EHV Outbreak Information

Better Barrel Races are in discussions with the OK State Vet and OK State Fair Park about the recent outbreak of EHV in relation to the OKC Futurity Dec 9-14, 2025.  As more information becomes available and discussions are held, we will post on our Facebook page as well as postings on okcfuturity.com and betterbarrelraces.com.

Better Barrel Races also recognizes that there are several American Qualifier races.  We will be working with those producers to navigate how to move forward.  Also, know that the American Qualifiers can be held through March 15, 2026, so there will be more scheduled soon.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those that have had a horse affected, producers that are having to make tough decisions, and contestants who are in limbo on what is going to happen.  BBR keeps the health and safety at the forefront of all decisions for our contestants and equine partners and will do all we can to navigate this in the best interest of all involved.
